Okay, here's the update: Crosby ate 21 mL from a bottle at 7. "Snarfed"
is what his report said. (I think he could've eaten more, but she just
let him finish that & be done.) So the TPN IV is back up to 6.4.
He was way too tired to nurse at 10. Like tried so hard but just
couldn't wake up. I told him he was doing good and he could just rest
and we'd try again at 1. So he got 28 mL through his tube.
Temp is still looking great. So is breathing. Doc said breath and bowel
sounds sound perfect. His Billy number was 11.4 today so they put him on
lights. They want that number below 10. His went from 9.0 to 11.4 since
yesterday so lights today. Will recheck tomorrow.
His tube feedings have been bumped from 21 to 28 mL if he needs the
tube. And they are adding "Hydrolyzed Human Milk Calorie Enhancer" to my
milk. Just to keep adding fat and helping brain growth. Still trying to
do all oral and depending on how well he does/how much he gets, the TPN
will be left alone or turned down.
Good report. Still moving forward. Main goal is to get good oral
feedings.
Grama & Grampa Puppy left yesterday. My Mom, Mindy, Shennie, & Granny came up today. They won't get to see Crosby since they're not on the visitor list, but they'll be here to hang out with the kids & help around the house. Thankful for that.
Bishop Crawford sent this message out to our ward this evening:
Chandi and Bryan Allen welcomed a new baby boy into their family on Monday. He was born 1 month early so he is in the NICU in the hospital. He is improving but needs to be able be on oral feedings for 48 hours before he can be taken off his IV and other life supportive measures. We ask that you would please remember the Allen's and their little baby boy in your prayers. Thank you for your faith and goodness.
