October 30 - Primary Program

Today was the Primary Program!  The kids did such a good job!  Andlie sang every word to every song and smiled nicely the entire program.  Haze knew most words, but singing isn't his jam.  He also had a booger that he was taking care of for a lot of the program.  He looked darling and I'm so proud of both of them!  Bryan & Crosby even snuck in the back and stood by the stage so they could watch the program!

Andlie's part was: Great blessings come when we follow the prophets.  We must dare to do right - dare to be true.

Haze's was: We came to Earth to be tested.

And Nora even got to participate!  For "Child of God," they invited all Nursery children to come sing on the stage.  That's all that Nora needed to hear!  She BOUNDED up to the stage like a baby deer and proudly stood there grinning while they situated the rest of the Nursery kids.  And then she sang some words of the song and waved to me!  Yay, Nora!

After the program, me & Cros came home and visited for a while.

Hazey brought home a darling note for Mom & Dad!  It says, "Mom I luv yoow.  Dad I luv yoow."  OR, translated, "Mom, I love you.  Dad, I love you."

Andlie is the BEST big sister - to all of her siblings.  But she's especially helpful and nurturing with Crosby.  She truly is a 2nd Mother around here and I'm so thankful for her.

October 29 - Pupmkins 2016

Crosby's little eyelashes are coming in longer & thicker!  (Plus any excuse to take a picture of this cute boy.....)

Katie came over & held him this afternoon.  He snuggled right up & took a nap on her and then felt comfy enough to take a giant poop on her too!

Tonight we carved & painted pumpkins!  Always a favorite tradition in our house!

L to R/Top to Bottom: Daddy, Mommy, Andlie, Haze, Nora, Crosby

Tonight I couldn't get over how much Andlie looks like me.  I mean, maybe not exactly like me now, but I kept looking at her tonight and feeling like I was 7 years old again and looking in a mirror.  She looks just how I remember myself looking in 2nd grade.  Except she's more beautiful and perfect.

October 28 - Trick or Treating at Daddy's Work

Cute little eyes peering up at me this morning.  Not quite ready to wake up yet....

Nora has been packing bags.  All of the bags.  Full of all of the things.  Today she packed a few bags, set them around her, and said, "Mom, I'm ready to go to Idaho!"

And then she added a few more things to her pile.  My favorites: the old Chick-Fil-A chicken nugget container with one nugget left and the couch pillows.  You just never know when you'll need either.

She fit ALL of this in to this teeny purse.  I mean.  Wow.

While we had the Halloween box out, we threw some things on.  We loved the witch hat & kitty ears.

Since we were going Trick or Treating at Daddy's work this afternoon, I let Nora put on her costume and sprayed some pink hair spray in her hair and drew a star on her cheek.  She was totally loving it!

I did the "Toddler Test" on Facebook today and thought her answers were pretty cute:

*What is your name?
No-Raaaaaa!!!
*How old are you?
[Holds up fingers and grins.] Two!!
*When is your birthday?
Princesses! 12 o'clock!
*How old is mummy?

[Points behind the chair where all the books are and giggles.]
*What do you want to be when you grow up?
A Mommy and I'll get boobs.
*What does love mean?
When things make you happy.

Haze found some leaves to show Daisey.  So we took a picture and sent it to her!

Crosby is getting so big and alert!  He's getting stronger and fatter ever day!

All ready to go Trick or Treating:

Playing with their new toys:

Daddy went to the Jazz game tonight with Bryce.  Meanwhile back at home, we did what has become a new hobby for everyone around the house: snuggled with Crosby.

Side note: When Nora wants to touch Crosby's head and stroke it softly, she asks, "Mom, can I pet Crosby?"

October 27 - Andlie Wins Reflections

Cros-man had his over night oxygen test last night.  Which means that we hooked (taped) a little probe up to his big toe and then plugged that hook up in to a monitor that tracked his oxygen saturation levels all night.  Though we obviously couldn't watch it all night, every time we did check it, his levels were above 97.  To pass the test and be able to come off oxygen, he needs to stay above 90 for 95% of 8 hours.  I'm pretty sure he did this.  We shall see.

In Haze's Kindergarten class, they have "Talking Time" instead of "Sharing Time."  They are not allowed to bring toys.  Instead they should bring something they made or colored or a story they wrote or a book to read.  This teaches the kids how to speak confidently in front of a group.  For Haze's Talking Time today, he wanted to take pictures of what he's been every year for Halloween so I made him a collage.

Nora put some pants on her head and then put her crown on top of that and started giggling this morning.  She thought she was pretty funny.

Someone (named Crosby) loves tummy time!

Andlie also prefers to be in "tummy time" position when she does her homework.  It's pretty cute.

Cros is starting to look around a lot more and he's even starting to try and "talk" to me!

Tonight Andlie won The Award of Excellence (AKA 1st Place) in her division in the visual arts catgeory for her artwork she submitted to the Reflections Contest!  Her artwork is called "Swirly Turtles" and she chose to do this piece because "she loves sea turtles and she wants to be a marine biologist when she grows up."

She was SO PROUD of her new trophy!  She was so excited to have won 1st place and couldn't wait to get home and call Gramma Puppy!  (And everyone else she could think of.)

October 26 - Getting Pumpkins

Crosby really hates baths.  He's hated them from the minute he was introduced to them.  I was thinking he might start to grow out of it, but nope.  Still hates.

He was looking so cute without his oxygen after the bath was over and he was calmed down.

Tonight we (finally) went to the Pumpkin Patch and got our pumpkins!  The kids had fun climbing through tunnels and seeing turkeys and taking silly pics and we scored five pumpkins for $11!  Now to paint and carve them!

October 25 - Ward Halloween Party

This morning before school, Hazey just couldn't believe how cute Crosby looked.  He asked if he could take a picture of "his cute little face and his cute little eyes."  Of course I let him because - cute.

I bought Nora a new coat at Target last night.  She just couldn't even believe her eyes when I told her the coat on the couch was her new coat!  She immediately stopped everything (i.e. packing a Target bag full of miscellaneous items from her room) and put the coat on and wanted it zipped right up.  Then she gleefully hopped around the room gasping and giggling and saying, "This is my new coat, huh Mom!"

Had to snap a pic of Cros in the swing because A) he had such wide open eyes that were happily looking around and B) he looks so tiny in the swing, but C) he is getting bigger every day!

He slept last night from 11:30 - 5:00!!!!!!!!  I mean.  So I also bought another blanket exactly like this one to see if that will help this trend continue.  (Again - little, but getting bigger.)

Andlie looked so cute today.  Or I should say, Andlie looked like a grown up teenager today.  So I snapped a pic.  And her pose made her look even bigger!

Speaking of blankies, Shennie has bought each of the kids their blankies and they've clung to them!  So I took a picture of everyone with their beloved blankies from Shennie to send to her this afternoon.

Ward Halloween Party tonight!  We went with a hippie, a rainbow princess, and a ninja!  (Me, Bry, and Cros were there too...)

Nora's mind was B.L.O.W.N. when we showed up to find Snow White at the party.  Her smile says it all.  She marched right up to her and started chatting her ear off.  She couldn't get enough and truly could not believe her eyes that Snow White was standing right in front of her.

The big kids ran around and did their own big kid thing.  (I can't believe they're old enough to just wander around parent free.)  We (mostly) kept an eye on Nora and watched her bounce around socializing with her friends.
Nora & Sally H.

And we watched her stick to Jessica like glue all night long.  Jessica is our babysitter and Nora LOVED that she was wearing a princess dress.  I'm 100% sure she wasn't trying to, but Nora kept telling her that she was dressed up like Princess Sofia.  (Maybe because the dress is purple.)  Wherever Jess went, Nora followed.  And would not stop chattering to her.  "We are both princesses.  I love your dress.  You are Princess Sofia and I'm a rainbow princess.  Hi, Jessica."  She even followed her in to the church when Jess tried to go pee.  And then talked our ears off all the way home about how she "saw Jessica" at the party.
