April 14 - My Doggies

Poor Andlie had a rough afternoon.  She walked in the door at about 2:30 which really surprised me because she was supposed to have choir practice right after school until 3:15.  But it was announced that choir was combined at 3:30 during school announcements this morning.  I had no idea it had been changed.  It was raining outside.  Andlie walked out of school and didn't see anyone there to pick her up and then realized that the doors were locked once you went outside at school.  (She forgot about the front doors.)  So, she walked all the way home by herself in the cold rain.  Except she ran because she was nervous.

After I gently explained that I don't want her walking home by herself and without me knowing, she burst in to tears.  She was so sad!  She was upset that she had done something I didn't like - even though she had no idea it was wrong!  She was just upset by the entire situation.  I scooped her in my arms and we hugged and she was able to calm down.  Especially after she got some new earrings in the mail from Granny!  All the way from Zion National Park!  Granny got them for her for getting the Cougar Recognition Award and for scoring 3 goals last soccer game!

Meet my new dogs. They LOVE to play fetch the bone (AKA straw) from the carpet. They bark and growl. And they named themselves. Left to Right: Annie, Petty, Sienna.  (Sienna also moonlights as a ninja.)

Poor Nora.  Haze put all the beanbags on her bum and said, "Nora!  Your diaper is huge!!!"  Brothers....

April 13 - Sick Girl

Nora caught Haze's sickies today and had a fever for most of the day.  But as long as she had medicine in her, she was a pretty happy camper.

She has also recently found a new favorite food: oranges!  Good timing to fall in love with vitamin C!

April 12 - Hair Cut & Big Game

Nora had a hair cut today!  I took a few before pics before we headed out.  She's the cutest.

She would only allow a hair cut if she sat on my lap.  So I got draped.  And then she said, "Mom, you are the Mommy zebra and I am the baby zebra."  Exactly right.

She got a cute little A-line hair cut and she looks so beautiful!  She even said so herself after she was all done.  She was especially proud of the braid that Stacy did in her hair.  She kept saying, "I look beautiful and Stacy put this braid in my hair."

Tonight during her game, Andlie pulled a hat-trick!  She scored three goals in one game!  She was so pumped and it was so much fun to watch her little face light up after every single one.

Me: Who are you guys?
Nora: I the dragon and Haze is the Bumblebee.
Me: Are you a nice dragon or a mean dragon?
Nora: Nice dragon!
Me: Hazey are you a good transformer or a bad transformer?
Haze: Good transformer!
Nora: I the dragon!  I the nice dragon!  Wohoo!

April 11 - Wally

Got back to real life today.  And you know what that means - a trip to WalMart!  Ha!  Poor Hazey wasn't feeling very good today, but he was a champ and came with us and was such a good boy.  I even got some "thumbs up" at the end of our trip!

April 10 - Sunday Paper/Prizes

Cute little Hazey.  He gathered up the Sunday newspaper last night and was SO EXCITED!

He thought that the newspaper was a showing of all of the items we will soon get delivered to our home at no cost to us!  He was like, "Mom!  Look at this cool trampoline!  Mom!!  These shoes!  You are gonna love these shoes!"  He was so thrilled to see what was in store on the next page!  He was a very happy boy!  So happy that I couldn't break the news to him.....

April 9 - Idaho: Day 4 & Home

We played outside in the beloved Hatch back yard with our beloved doggies and cousins and then we headed home today.  We made it in less than four hours again!  We were so happy to see Daddy!  And he even surprised me with a spotless house and a beautiful purple orchid plant!

We had SO MUCH FUN in Idaho!  We can't wait to visit again!

April 8: Idaho: Day 3

I woke up and looked over to check on Nora this morning and found her comfortably hanging off the side of the bed.

Big kids went with Mandy to drop the doggies off to get haircuts and baths.  Meanwhile, I changed their "HATCH" letters to say "CATH" (short for cathetar) because I'm hilarious.

To the temple!  We attempted to take grandkid pics for Grama & Grampa.  And we failed.  It was beautiful though!

To Chick-Fil-A to get lunch & play at the playground!  Then we ditched the restaurant for a real park and headed to the "red park" and played for an hour!  Kids love this park!  Zip-lines, crazy slides, huts, etc.  But it was hot and we needed drinks and air conditioning, so we left after about an hour.

Quiet time!  Followed by outside pool time!  Fun, fun, fun!  Pure joy!

Picnic at the "waterfall park."  Then we went and looked at the giant waterfall!  Mandy was silly & made the kids stick their legs in the fence like wild hyenas!  I hate that!  But they got a good giggle.

Home to bed!  But not before Hazey came upstairs for one more snuggle with the doggies.  The whole trip, he kept saying things like, "I like to play with the dogs better than play the iPad," and "Can we get a dog when we get home?  Just like these dogs?"  He just loves them so much.

April 7: Idaho: Day 2

I slept in until Nora woke up at 9:30 (we had a rough time getting settled and to sleep last night).  Meanwhile, the big kids played outside with the dogs and in the tree and on the swing and helped Mandy make pink pancakes!

After we all got ready, we headed out to grab a few things at WalMart before heading to "the rock park" to have a lunch picnic with pizza!

It was so hot in the bright sunshine, so we came back home to rest and have naps.  Hazey snuggled up to his best friend, Brodie.  He loves the doggies.

When quiet time was over, we got everyone ready and took the dogs on a short walk.

Then we put our swimsuits on and set up Daisey's new pink pool with a slide and played outside in the sun & water with bubbles for a couple hours!  What's better than hanging out in the water & sun with cousins and eating popsicles?  Nothing.  Fun afternoon!

At one point, Haze & Daisey were taking care of Andlie because the sea witch (AKA Mandy) had made her sick.  So they were "carrying her to the hospital."  Meanwhile, Nora was sharing her popsicles with Cinder.
