January 19 - Coach, Princess, and Yogurt Face

Andlie wore her neon pink Nike outfit to school today and LOVED it.  She said she looked like a coach!

Nora wore her princess getup today.  She came out to the porch and I said, "Wow.  It's Princess Nora."  She got pretty proud of that.  She loves those shoes.

Little man ate some yogurt today.  Not sure how much of it made it to his mouth.  Cutest yogurt grins though!

January 18 - Doctor Visits On Our Day Off

Woke up this morning at 7:20 to a blaring noise.  Like not a high-pitched noise.  Not a kid noise.  Just a weird, hideous noise.  Went searching around our house for fire alarms.  Pulled the doorbell apparatus off the wall.  Unplugged the washer & dryer.  Nope.  Nope.  Nope.  Finally figured out that it was the stupid old smoke detector going berserk in the hallway.  Damn smoke detector.  Of course it was on our day off.

Nora found Andlie's old Cinderella dress up shoes yesterday.  They're about four sizes too big, but they light up and have Cinderella bows on them.  That means that Nora is in love with them.  I assure you that they will be on her feet every day for as long as they fit her feeties.

We went to the doctor this afternoon.  Andlie went for her 7 year well-check.  She is growing really well!  She's tall and skinny and perfect in every way!  She did get in a little bit of trouble by the doc when he asked, "Do you eat your veggies?"  She had to answer no and he told her she needed to!  After some nose scrunching and giggling, she agreed.  She got out of the office without any shots today!

Haze didn't have an exam.  He just came with us and got 2 of his Kindergarten shots!  He was SO BRAVE.  He didn't fight us when it was his turn to get up on the table.  He held still and held Daddy's hands.  He cried when the shots went in, but was VERY brave.

Nora went for her 2 year well-check.  She hated every minute.  She started crying the minute I took her clothes off.  Not a small cry.  An "I'm super angry you brought me here and you're going to pay" kind of a cry.  She hated being naked and demanded that I put her Cinderella shoes back on.  And her jacket.  And that I give her a sucker.  She got one shot.  She saw the nurse come in with a Princess Anna band-aid on her finger for after the shots and said (through tears), "Anna band-aid.  I want it.  I need it right now."  She winced at the shot, but was pretty much okay once she had that band-aid and another sucker.  What an eventful way to spend our afternoon off!  Thankful for good doctors and healthy kids.

Pretending to be the doctor.  He said, "Hello, how can I help you today?"

Andlie loves when we put the pull up bar in our doorway.  She is a swinging monkey every time.  I secretly love it because I remember doing the exact same thing on my Dad's bar when I was little.  Sometimes it's weird that I'm the Mom now.....

January 17 - Cute Kids in Sunday Clothes

Kids looked cute again today.  Picture time.  Obviously.

Andlie put on her "gymnastics outfit" so Nora obviously needed hers on too.  Andlie heard her keep saying, "Need ma outfit like And-wie," and so she went downstairs and found an old leotard & gave it to Nora.  Nora beamed with delight & followed Andlie around for the rest of the night.  Sisters are the best friends.

January 16 - 8th Tooth

I asked these two if I could take their picture this morning.  The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

This afternoon, I took the big kids to a birthday party at The Bounce House!  They both LOVED it!  We will definitely be going back!

Tonight when we were getting ready to go to Smith's, Nora requested her dress, her crown, her princess shoes, and her necklace.  And when I say requested, I mean that she wouldn't leave without them.  She is definitely an independent princess!

Played some tunes while we were hanging out at home.  Nora wanted to join in.  Cutest.

Andlie lost her 8th tooth tonight!  She wants us to start calling her "Jack" now.  Short for jack-o-lantern.  She's so cute!  She's becoming one of my best friends!  She's funny and smart and witty and beautiful and kind and now she's missing 8 little kid teeth!

January 15 - Company Party

My cute little blue-eyed, blonde-haired, sweetheart little Hazey came with me to take Andlie to Kindness Club today.  He's such a cute boy.

Speaking of cute, Andlie left this surprise note for me on the wall of our bedroom.

Tonight Bryan & I went to his company kick off (for the year) party!  During dinner, we had a few actors come & act out a Murder Mystery for us that we had to solve.  I get the giggles when things like this happen.  And I  knew that no one would believe that I had gone to one.  So I tried to take a sneaky picture, but the actor totally caught me & threw me some finger gun action for the shot!

When we walked in, I asked Bryan where he wanted to sit.  He chose the table with the power people!  We sat with his immediate boss, two other director-level bosses, and the big VP of Marketing.  I was intimidated!  I didn't know how we'd fit in.  BUT, I got to see how much they all value Bryan's opinion!  They all talked to him like they had been friends forever and really wanted to hear what he had to say too.  Several other people came & praised his abilities while we were there.  People could not say enough good about him!  Compliments everywhere!  I knew he was impressive, but tonight I realized just how impressive he is!  And it made me so proud to be his wife.

January 14 - Banana Peeler

Little monkey Nora peeled her own banana today.  She definitely left a trace.  Good thing she's so cute & perfect in every way possible.

I did the Primary bulletin board again this year!  I am really proud of how it turned out!

January 13 - Selfies & A Thank You Note

Had some fun with the front facing camera and my side kick this morning!

Had some more fun this evening at dinner!  We used our new waffle maker from Tony & Leslie (Christmas gift) to make Mickey waffles!

I had to snap a picture of the sweet note that Andlie wrote for her teacher without any prompting from anyone.  She's such a sweetheart!  (Yes, I texted it to her teacher.)

January 12 - Beautiful Princess

"Grama give it to me.  Princess heart dress.  Grama give it to me."

Her bangs!  They are so long & so, so straight!

Sound asleep with her "Baby Elsa" holding one of her shoes snuggled up with her pink blankie in her princess jammies.  Can't get much sweeter or cuter than that.  What lucky parents we are!

January 11 - Back At It

I took a break from daily workouts from about December 24 - January 10.  Today I finally got it together & got a workout it.  And it kicked my butt.  But it felt so good!

Nora was back at her usual daily things today.  You know, just being a princess and riding her princess Barbie bike and carrying around her "Frozen" backpack full of princesses.  Like a boss.

Stopped by Andlie's school to look for Nora's lost jacket.  Came across the cute Watch DOG picture from October.  Great picture!  You can just see how proud & happy Andlie is to have her Daddy at school with her.

January 10 - Bubbles & Yogurt

I think it's safe to say that Nora liked the bubbles at Nursery today.  She was a squealing, laughing, jumping, happy, happy, happy girl!  I'm glad I was in there to watch!

Hazey put on some yogurt lipstick this afternoon.  He made it look good.

Andlie kept telling us that it was Opposite Day today.  She walked around for most of the day with her shirt on inside out & backwards.  So when I told her to take off her clothes & get in the shower, this is what I got.  Oh, to be in 1st grade again.....
