January 27 - Grama & The Hatches

Grama, Mandy Daisey, and Liam arrived at our house last night around dinner time!  We're so happy to have them here!  This morning, Grama took the kids (minus Andlie who was at school) out for a snow walk!  While they were out, they found their very own "ice castle!"

Then we came inside and got warm and headed to Riverwoods where we played on the playground, played some video games, and rode the carousel!

Nora screamed and cried at the thought of riding the ponies on the carousel, but she had a lot of fun holding on to the pole while it was spinning around!

Next up - story time!

And then we had to take pictures!  All the grandkids were all together and we had to take advantage!

And then Grama had to leave and it was super sad and we missed her as soon as she left!

While we were making dinner, Andlie made a "lesson plan" for Daisey.  She gave it to Mandy and then told her to "have Daisey come over for her lesson about letters."  So Mandy obeyed.

We finished our night at Skate Night!  It was put on by Andlie's school and it was free to skate!  We had SO MUCH fun!  Haze even tried his hand at roller skating!  Nora totally thought she was skating like everyone else even though she was just pushing the "roller skate helper" around the floor.  Andlie was a total pro and ditched us for friends pretty quickly.

I went in to check on Nora before we went to bed around 11:00.  She was wide awake.  Wide.  She asked me to sing songs.  One by one.  "Sing Elsa song."  "Sing Jesus song."  "Sing Anna song."  And she was just visiting me and being the cutest ever.  And then she said, "Should we go see Daddy?"  And so I got her out.  I mean.....

Then we sat on the couch & read the owl book, the Busy Town book, the Anna/Elsa book, and the Jake and the Neverland Pirates book.  We read a lot.  And we visited and she carried on conversation in her cutest tiny voice.  We talked about every page of every book.  We pointed things out.  Nora pointed out the Mommys and the hats and the babies and the princesses and the flowers and the sleeping owls and the blankies and it really was the cutest thing.  I feel so blessed to be a Mommy.  Especially to my kids.  They're the very best ones.

I finally put Nora to bed around 11:40 after a few more songs and lots of hugs & kisses & giggles.
