Grama & Grampa sent each kid $5 in the mail for Valentine's! They were SO THRILLED! Each one couldn't wait to spend their money on something special. Haze begged and begged to go to WalMart from the second that he woke up so he could get some new cars. We finally got there around 11:00.
Nora wanted to go straight for the princess aisle and fell in love as soon as she saw some princess shoes! She clomped around the house in them for the rest of the day.
Hazey man got him FIVE new cars! He chose four cars and a Mystery Model car! He separated the new cars from the rest of his 1,000 cars and has kept them close and safe since we brought them home.
Haze might not be going to preschool, but we still have preschool at home. We try to keep working on writing and reading and coloring for a few minutes every day. Since we're learning about the letter R this week, we made a rainbow today! Every time after he'd finish a color, he'd say, "Mom, can I sneak and eat the rest of the purple ones because the purple row is all done!?"
Andlie chose to spend her $5 on some brand new "hangy down" earrings! It was her very first pair of hangy downs and she chose very carefully! She ended up choosing some roller blade hangies - with real spinning wheels and real string laces. We didn't even make it out of the mall before she wanted to try them on. She loves them and they look so cute on her!
While we were at the mall, we stopped at the "Disneyland store" per Haze's request. Nora got a bit excited about the "Frozen" stuffed animals. She could barely contain herself and pointed & exclaimed the name at each character as she saw them on the shelves. She wanted to hold all of them. And was completely happy and satisfied once we got them all down.
