February 5 - Hangin' With Visitors

Shennie captured Hazey getting a Mommy snuggle this morning.  What a wonderful blessing it is to be called Mommy.  It's one of my greatest joys.

We went shopping and ran errands with Granny & Shennie this morning (Mindy was still in SLC for meetings and Andlie was at school).  And then we had to get home so that we could eat lunch before Hazey's dentist appointment!

I was pretty nervous for him, but it was just Mommy & Hazey (Andlie was at school and Gran & Shen tended Nora) and I think that really helped.  We visited all the way there and snuggled on the couch while we waited for his turn.  He was so brave!  He was kind of nervous when the seat starting lying down, but calmed right down once I told him he was transforming.  And then he even gave me a smile!

He opened his mouth so big and let the dentist poke his teeth and look at them with a mirror.  And then.....cavity announcement.  He has two small cavities, but they're in his back molars that he won't lose until he's 12, so we have to come back in a couple weeks to get them filled.  It'll just be an easy fill (no need for shots in his gums) and he'll just have laughing gas to help him relax.  We've already talked about it and he's kind of nervous, but I told him he can have a prize if he's a good boy.  Which he will be.  Because he's perfect.  He was so good that the dentist gave him TWO tokens to chose some prizes with!  He chose a ninja and a dinosaur.

Then back to the house for more fun with visitors!  Of course, we made time for some selfies.

And then Mindy came to our house and Shen & Mind took the big kids to the park, the chocolate store (Mrs. Cavanaugh's), and Target while Granny, Nora, and I took some tiny naps and visited.

Next we ate dinner at home that Mindy bought us from Roberto's (delicious Mexican) and then me & Bryan got ready for our date!  We went to Giff & Jenna Nielsen's Valentine's party!  We ate lots of treats, visited with some good friends, and played the Newlywed Game!  Meanwhile, the kids had fun at home.

 

Just for fun, I'll leave the answers for our Newlywed Game here.  Bryan was asked three questions and I was asked three questions.  We ended up with 1/6 points, but we had so much fun!

Bryan's Questions

What celebrity does your wife look like?  

Chandi's Guess: Rachel Ray 

Bryan's Answer: Rachel Ray (10 Years Ago)  He told me at home, "I think you're way prettier than Rachel Ray, just so you know."

What was the worst thing that happened on your wedding day?

Chandi's Guess: Our reception was supposed to be outside, but it was cloudy & rainy so my Mom was trying to find out if she should set up inside.  We missed like 12 phone calls each from her and a knock on my door because we were "busy." 

Bryan's Answer: We spent an hour and a half at Lawrence's sister's house visiting Lawrence and his wife & kids.

If your wife won $100, where would she spend it? 

Chandi's Guess: H&M, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret

 What is one thing your spouse would say makes it hard to live with you?

Bryan's Guess: Her lists!

Chandi's Answer: She's a teeny bit vulgar & embarrassing. 

If your husband was a cartoon character, who would he be?

Bryan's Guess: No idea.

Chandi's Answer: Mr. Incredible, The Dad from "Inside Out," or Buzz Lightyear

If your husband won the lottery, what is the first thing he would buy?

Bryan's Guess: A very nice car - a Bugatti Veron.

Chandi's Answer: A car - Bugatti!  Or some tennis stuff. 

We ended up with 2 points!  We had so much fun!  I'm so lucky to be married to Bryan.  He's my favorite person in the world.
