We spent the morning riding carnival rides at the Summerfest this morning! Each kid got five tickets.
Andlie: Fun House, Pirate Ships, Spinning Strawberries (with Dad - Favorite), Carousel
Haze: Trucks (Favorite), Flying Elephants, Pirate Ships, Tea Cups (with Dad), Carousel
Nora: Flying Elephants (Favorite), Pirate Ships, Carousel
After the rides, we headed over to the stage to watch some live kids karate that was happening. Andlie went up to stage as a volunteer and broke a board in to four pieces with her karate stomp! She now wants to add karate to the list of things she wants to try. So far, that list includes: basketball, soccer, baseball, art camp, swimming lessons, gymnastics, dance, tennis, and piano lessons. We've got a well-rounded girl on our hands!
After a fun morning, we came home to have baths (to get the carnival off of us) and then we ate lunch and I took the big kids shopping while Nora & Daddy had a nap. While I was there, I found some children on sale!
We had lots of fun at the parade tonight! Before it started, they had music playing and the kids went and danced in the road for a while! They had a blast! Since it had been raining on and off all day, it was PERFECT parade weather. We had lots of fun and came home with pounds of candy and happy faces!
Andlie loved the karate class in the parade!
Haze loved any entry with candy.
Nora's favorite thing in the parade was (by far) the floats with princesses on them. Every time one would come, Andlie would come and say, "Nora! Here comes some princesses!" And then she'd escort her to the front of the line and they'd wave like crazy and get some waves back.
