June 21 - First Play Date

Nora looked super cute in one of her new outfits from Granny/Shennie this morning.  Had to snap a couple pics.  Clearly, she knew she looked cute.  She's getting so tall!

While we were at it, we took a pic of her freshly painted pink toes that we did last night.  Happy to see that her little feet still look like baby feet.  Nora LOVES her toes painted.

Hazey had his very first official play date today!  Holland came to our house for about an hour and a half and they played & giggled in the pool and downstairs.  They both had a lot of fun!

After the play date, we went to Target really quick.  Before I knew it, Nora had some nail polish OPEN and was painting her own nails fingers.  Luckily I caught her as she was about to re-dip for another brush full of hot pink.

Our park is FINALLY finished!  We've been waiting since March for it to be done and tonight the fences finally went down and we were able to play!  We spent a solid hour and a half there and were still sad to leave!  I'm sure we'll spend many more hours there this Summer!

June 20 - Birthday Pics & Coolaid Hair

Before we did anything else today, I had Hazey man take some pictures for his 5th birthday.  They're all SO CUTE.  I narrowed it down to my favorites for the blog.

We went to our third Summer library this morning at Andlie's school!  The kids look forward to this every week.  There's usually some games to play and prizes to leave with and, of course, books to read.  Today Nora was super thrilled about climbing two giant stairs to make it to the top of her throne where she ruled as Library Queen until I helped her down.

After a quick trip to Smith's, we came home to dye Andlie's hair!  First we dipped it.

Then we foiled it.

And then it was done!  We'll be looking for ways to make it brighter next time, but the red streak was fun for today!

Our kids LOVE "American Ninja Warrior" on TV.  They are glued to the screen.  And then they play "Ninja Warrior."  Of course, there is no other way for Nora to watch the show than to take off her clothes.  Daddy asked, "Why don'tyou have any clothes on?"  And without skipping a beat, she replied, "Cuz I a ninja warrior."

June 19 - Father's Day

Today is Father's Day!  We woke up and went straight to the good stuff - opening cards & presents.  We got Daddy some new Nike tennis shoes and some sweet cards!

Since the kids didn't get to sing to Daddy in Sacrament meeting today (lame), they snuck downstairs and brought some chairs upstairs and sang "I am a Child of God" to him.

For dessert, we had Daddy's favorite - brownies!  With frosting!  And then we all watched the NBA championship game.  And Daddy gave us some tattoos with Andlie's gel pens.

"We believe that 'by divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families.'  We believe that far from being superfluous, fathers are unique and irreplaceable."

- Elder D. Todd Christopherson

Bryan presides over our family in love and righteousness and he definitely provides for our family in every way.  He works hard and he loves hard.  He is so perfect and unique and there's no one in the world who could take his place.  We feel lucky to call him ours!  Happy Father's Day, Bryan!

It's a rare thing to find a Daddy who will pose like a crazy with his 1st grader, have squirt gun fights with his freshly turned 5 year old, and watch the NBA finals while tickling his 2 year old's back just to name a few things). I feel so blessed that he is ours. I adore you, Bryan. And so do our babies. Happy Father's Day to one of the best.

We finished the day outside!  Haze brought his ninja turtle mask that he made out with us for a while.  He thought of the idea and colored and cut it out all by himself (except the eyes).  He's such a good boy!

And then we got some water balloons and the hose out!  Hazey LOVES Summer and especially loves the water.

June 18 - Beach Party at Riverwoods

Bryan & I gave each other some matching lion tattoos this morning.  I'd say we could start our own tattoo business.....but the kids definitely disagree.   My artwork on Bryan's arm is on the left.  His artwork on mine is on the right.

After our quick tat sesh, we went to Seven Peaks!  Nora was pretty proud of her "two pony tails" so I took a few pictures.  Because duh.

We came home & rested for a while and then we went down to Riverwoods for the Freedom Festival Beach Party!  We had so much fun!

We got home pretty late (around 8:45), so we had to do a quick dinner.  I was pretty proud of my "dinner guys" that I made for the kids and they scarfed up every bite.

June 17 - Day at Home

Three cute little sets of hands happily played together this morning.  I sat & watched & smiled for a long time before I decided to snap a pic.  I'm sure thankful that these kids not only love each other, but they like each other!

The fun was cut short when I told Haze it was time for a hair cut.  He wasn't a fan of the idea.  The sad eyes went away pretty quickly and he looked so handsome when we were done!

Cute Nora was playing "fetch" with me this morning.  She told me her doggie name was "Annie" and she would run & grab the straw with her teeth (sometimes coming up with some carpet in her mouth) every time I'd throw it.  She'd also throw in a happy "bark" once in a while.  Cute girl.

Thought she looked extra cute today in her cute Summer shirt with her long, shiny hair.  She looked at the camera for the pic, but did not want to smile.
