February 17 - Sticker Hair, Spelling, & Good Friends

Hazey & Nora had a grand old time downstairs this morning while I worked out.

(Side note: Nora would not let me take her owl jammies off.  She loves them.  They're footie jammies.  We tried them a few nights ago and she is in L-O-V-E.)

Anyway, they were giggling and squealing and having so much fun!  When I went down to check on them, I found out why.  STICKERS!!  Nora had several on her jammie arms & legs and a lot in her hair!  How fun!  I'm glad they had fun together this morning.

I'm surprised at the words that Andlie has on her spelling tests in 1st grade!  This Friday is her big review test so there will be 20 words instead of 10 and they can be any words she'd had so far this year.  So today, I read her 36 of them and she got every single one right.  And good hand-writing too!  Bravo, Andlie!

I got something fun in the mail today!  One of my BFFs, Lenzi, sent me some red lip liner & lipstick!  I can't wait to try it out!  I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many good friends in my life.  Friends that I will love forever.

February 16 - Unpacking & Cleaning Up

Hazey found his way in to my bed to snuggle this morning.  And then he turned in to a kitty!  We both thought we were pretty funny on this one...

It's hard to unpack from a trip.  Especially with a little Nora wandering around opening every sucker that she finds.  Each of the kids got suckers from Grama.  And Andlie left her Valentine's from her class on the floor.  So Nora opened about six suckers throughout the day.  Every time I'd find her with one, I'd tell her to go throw it away.

While I was eating my lunch & watching a show, I turned around to look at her and she "hid" her sucker by her side.  And then she said, "Mi, don't look at this way!"  And then the giggles happened.  Cute little stinker.

While I was unpacking and tidying up today, I found Andlie's Valentine from her teacher.  I thought it was so cute and sweet.  I'm so proud to be Andlie's Mommy.  I love that the quality that sticks out to most people is that Andlie is kind to all.

Unpacking.  Cleaning up.  Five loads of laundry.  Bleck.  Thank goodness for Bryan who came home and folded the entire pile.

February 15 - Cedar City Day 4

We copied a hair do that we saw on Saturday at Brad's today at Andlie's request.  Turned out pretty good!

Grama & Grampa took the kids to the park and on a little walk/hike this morning while me & Bryan got ready and packed.  They had so much fun!

And then we spent some time at Grandma 'Rene's house where we got to visit Grampa's sisters: Diane, Jill, Betsy, and Michelle!  Bryan helped Grampa lift a few heavy things out of the basement and we had fun visiting with family!  We are so blessed to belong to such wonderful families!

And then - home again home again!  We only had one traffic jam/stop and it was right outside of Parowan.  Other than that, we kept speed.  It was definitely busy, but we made it in good time and arrived safely home by 7:15 this evening.  We had such a happy trip!  We love our families!  Especially our amazing parents!  (And we live in such a beautiful state!)

February 14 - Cedar City Day 3

Bret left with his friends to go camping this afternoon.  But not until after he took a picture with his number one fan.

We enjoyed a beautiful walk around SUU's campus this afternoon!  We jumped in snow, knocked on the Dragon's Lair, ran around, stood in the fountains, saw some birds, saw Rapunzel's castle (bell tower), did some shows on the Shakespeare stages, and just enjoyed the beautiful blue sky and sunshine!

And then we went to the fire station!  Always have fun there.  Every time!

February 13 - Cedar City Day 2

Hazey spent some time playing with cars this morning.  It was fun to watch him bring all of his tracks in the living room!

Meanwhile, Andlie was busy plotting in the kitchen with Grama.  She came out giggling and looking like this:

We went to lunch with Grama & Grampa Puppy at Brad's!  Grampa bought everyone some ice cream once we were done eating!  We had a great time with Grama & Grampa and are so thankful that they came over to hang out with us!

Bryan & I spent the evening at the adult session of Cedar Stake Conference.  It was great to hear my Dad speak about keeping the Sabbath Day holy and how important family is.  He's such a wonderful example to so many and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful parents.

Today, my Dad got a package.  It was supposed to be socks for my Mom, but something went wrong and he got a package of "wife beaters" (tank tops) instead.  Joke time.  Obviously.  Bryan & I made heart felt hearts for each of them from the other.  We thought we were hilarious.  And clever.

February 12 - Valentine's Day Friday

Since today was Valentine's Day at school, we wore our new Valentine's shirts from Shennie!  All of the kids looked so darling!  And of course, we had to do Valentine hair for Andlie.

Today was the day to pass out our Valentines!  Andlie was excited to take hers.  She wrote her name carefully on each one and stapled the candy to them all by herself!

Haze didn't have a class to pass his out to, but we drove around and passed one out to each of the members in his Primary class.  He was SO PROUD.  What a fun way to spend the morning!

Then this afternoon, I got to help in Andlie's class with the Valentine's party!  Always a fun time.  Always so happy to see her and love it that she's always so happy to see me.

After Parent/Teacher Conference, I wanted to get a "high five" picture of Andlie and Miss Carter since she's such a good student, but I forgot.  Today was a perfect day to get one!

After school, we came home, loaded the car up, and headed to Cedar City for our three day weekend!  We got there in time for dinner and then we went to the SUU Gymnastics Meet where SUU won over BYU and Cal. State!  Fun Friday night!
