April 28 - Mandy Arrives

Mandy & kids arrived at our house this afternoon around 1:30!  Yaaaaaaay!!!  Party time!

Since it was kind of cold & windy, we just spent most of the day downstairs playing & snuggling on the couch.  Mandy & Andlie have been best buddies since the day Andlie was born.  This afternoon, Andlie took her homework downstairs and snuggled right in to the crock of Mandy's arms and Mandy snuggled her right up.  Without anyone saying one word.  Their bond is pretty great and I'm so thankful.

Pretty uneventful night. Made meatballs for dinner.  Watched a TV show.  Headed to bed.  Happy to have the Hatch family here!

April 27 - Cardiologist

I went to the Cardiologist this morning.  Bryan came with me.  Katie tended the kids.  The report was: This isn't uncommon in pregnancy.  Some people experience palpitations (skipped beats) and rapid heart rate while pregnant and if that's what's causing it, it will get worse as the pregnancy progresses.

Just to be safe, they ordered me to wear a heart monitor for TWO WEEKS!  And get an Echo Cardiogram.  I am to report back on May 18th to discuss the findings.  I can already tell that this monitor is gonna drive me bonkers.

April 26 - Wet Soccer Game

Smartie pants Haze has been loving Andlie's computer lately!  He's been using it to learn letters and sounds and shapes and math and he is good at it!

This morning he spent some time on his computer with his shirt off.  He said he was a warrior.

Andlie had a soccer game tonight.  It was sopping wet the entire time.  Like not a little sprinkle.  More like puddles in the chairs if you moved your butt.  Andlie's hair was soaking wet, but she still played and had a good time!

April 25 - Faces

It was a rainy day today.  So we built a fort in the front room and Haze played transformers in the hut while he watched it on TV.

It cleared up enough for Haze to have his soccer game tonight and for us to spend a little while outside!  I had Haze & Nora make three faces: happy face, mad face, and sad face.

And then they did some silly faces for me.  I love their cute little faces!

April 24 - Morning Snugs

Sweet Nora snuggled with me this morning!  She didn't move her head from resting on my shoulder the entire time she drank her milk.  And I was in heaven!  One of my favorite things as a Momma is to have one of my babies' heads snuggled up in the crock of my shoulder/neck.  There is no other feeling on Earth like it.

We bought a new wagon yesterday and we gave it a test run tonight on a Sunday evening stroll.  We really like it!

April 23 - Grama & Grampa Visit

Grama & Grampa arrived last night and took the kids to "the donut store" (AKA Krispy Kreme) while me & Bryan went on a nice date to Malawi's.  Of course the kids had a blast and we had fun visiting Grama & Grampa.

Today Grampa went to the State Republican Convention so we had Grama all to ourselves all day!  She came with us to soccer games and cheered really loud!  That was fun to have her there.  Then we met up with Grampa and rode bikes outside until it started to rain.  We ended up at Costco together and then Grama & Grampa had to get home.  We had fun with them while they were here though!

Nora LOVES her "princess Barbie bike."  She scoots around like Fred Flinstone with her little legs & feet moving as fast as they can while she "rides" up & down the street with Andlie & Hazey.  And she's always in a dress.  Over her clothes.  Because she's a princess.
